Pie, tart, and galette recipes
These are all my favorite recipes for pies, tarts, and galettes. The main differences between these desserts lie in their crust and the type of pan in which they're baked. While pies typically have a flaky, buttery crust cooked in a pie dish, tarts (and tartlets, their mini version) have more of a sturdy, crumbly crust and are baked in a shallow tart pan. Galettes are made with a crust similar to a pie crust, but are rolled out and shaped free-form on a baking sheet.
