    Chocolate Peppermint Mousse

A few months ago, I became part of the Best Friends for Frosting team, which is made up of a group of girls who like to talk all things dessert (and I'm definitely in with that!).  So basically, every month I'll be posting a dessert recipe over at BFFF, and it would be awesome if you guys went and checked them out! This month I'm sharing a Chocolate Peppermint Mousse recipe that is absolutely to. die. for.

A good chocolate mousse has always been a favorite dessert of mine, but one that was pretty much limited to those rare occasions when I went out to a restaurant and saw it on the menu. And although in my family I'm usually the one who orders dessert, while everyone else just chooses to glom in on mine, I'm not so good about sharing my chocolate mousse. So, you can just imagine how excited I was when I made my own for the first time and it turned out fantastic. This mousse is rich and chocolate-y in flavor yet silky smooth and airy in texture, with the perfect amount of peppermint  mixed in to blend beautifully with the chocolate. As if that wasn't enough on it's own, I decided to add some fresh peppermint whipped cream on top and a garnish of crushed peppermint candies, which made the whole thing about ten times more fantastic.

I almost wish I could have just hogged this recipe on my own site, because it's that good. So go check it out, and make yourself some mousse; 'tis the season, after all!

P.S. The next recipe post is still something special using the challah, as promised! This is just a little (delicious) side note. :)

This dessert is luxurious! When I follow the link to your entry on BFFF site, it's broken, I tried 2 links from your post and I get 404 error.
