WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

RAISIN CINNAMON ROLLS

Juicy raisins add an extra dose of flavor to these soft and fluffy homemade cinnamon rolls. Topped with a thick slathering of cream cheese frosting, they make the BEST weekend breakfast.

Here's what you'll need

You'll start by soaking raisins in orange juice, which makes them extra plump and flavorful for your cinnamon rolls.

Meanwhile, combine scalded milk and butter, letting the mixture cool while you prep your dry ingredients.

In a large bowl, whisk together bread flour, regular or whole wheat flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.

Next, add egg yolks and molasses to your milk mixture. These ingredients will make your cinnamon rolls that much more tender and flavorful!

Add the raisin mixture and milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix them in until a dough forms. Now you can start kneading!

Knead the dough until it's soft, tender, and elastic. This takes about 10-15 minutes to do by hand, but you can also use a stand mixer.

Now, shape the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl covered with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 30-60 minutes.

Next, roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Then, roll the dough up into a log.

Slice the log into 12 equal pieces, and transfer them to a rectangular baking dish, cut-side up. Leave the rolls to rise until they fill the pan.

Bake your cinnamon rolls until they're golden brown. Always be careful to avoid overbaking, or they won't be as soft.

Once they've been out of the oven for about 15 minutes, you can top them with cream cheese frosting and dig in!
