CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE

If you're on the hunt for the ULTIMATE chocolate fudge cake, you've found it! This one is incredibly moist and rich, with the most amazing silky chocolate frosting.

INGREDIENTS

– all-purpose flour – granulated sugar – Dutch process cocoa powder – baking soda – salt – hot coffee – neutral-flavored cooking oil

Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Gluten-free flour can be used if preferred!

In another large bowl, whisk together hot coffee, avocado oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and white vinegar.

Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients with a rubber spatula. This will be a somewhat thin batter - perfect for a moist cake.

Pour the cake batter into two 9" round pans that have been buttered, dusted with cocoa powder, and lined with parchment.

Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

To make the frosting, use an electric mixer to beat softened butter until its smooth and creamy.

Mix in confectioner's sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Make sure the mixture is smooth.

With your mixer on low speed, slowly pour in melted chocolate. Beat until the frosting is light and fluffy.

Frost the cooled cake and decorate as desired. You can garnish it with chocolate sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for a fancy finish!
