HOW TO MAKE BROWN BUTTER
Brown butter with this easy stovetop method in just 5 minutes! It adds a nutty, caramelized flavor that compliments all sorts of recipes.
Slice butter into tablespoons and place in a medium frying pan. You can brown salted or unsalted butter.
Place the pan on the stove over medium heat and allow the butter to melt, whisking it occasionally.
After the butter melts, it will begin to foam. Watch it closely - you'll start to see it browning soon.
Continue to cook the butter, whisking constantly, just until golden-brown specks form on the bottom of the pan.
Remove butter from the pan and transfer to a plate or bowl to stop the cooking process. Let it cool slightly before using.
