This easy recipe makes perfect cinnamon chips for baking, using just 4 basic ingredients. They taste so much better than the store-bought variety, and add great flavor to cookies, muffins, and other baked goods!

To make these cinnamon chips, you'll need sugar, cinnamon, coconut oil (or shortening), and honey (or corn syrup).

Start by mixing together all of the ingredients in a bowl. The mixture should be damp enough to form some clumps.

Spread the mixture out on a parchment-lined baking sheet and press it into a flat rectangle, about 1/4" thick. Bake at 200ºF for 35 minutes.

Once it's cool, slice the rectangle into strips about 1/4" thick. Repeat in the opposite direction until all you're left with is individual cinnamon chips.

If desired, toss the cinnamon chips in cinnamon sugar before storing. Just like store-bought cinnamon chips, these can be added to all of your favorite recipes!
