ESPRESSO POWDER

How to Make

Espresso powder is a fantastic addition to baked goods like chocolate cake, brownies, cookies, and so much more! It can be expensive to buy, but luckily you can make your own.

All you'll need are the grounds left over from brewing espresso, which are typically compacted into a disc like this.

Start by breaking the grounds up with your hands over a baking sheet. Use as much or as little as you'd like.

Then, spread them out into a thin, even layer.

Bake at 175ºF until dry and slightly crunchy. (The time this takes will vary based on the amount of grounds used.)

Finally, grind into a fine powder before using! The finer it is, the more smoothly it will blend into your baked goods.
