The 3-2-1 Margarita

The 3-2-1 Margarita - a super simple and spot-on take on the classic summer cocktail. |

A margarita recipe that’s as easy to make (and remember) as counting to 3. This drink packs a punch and plenty of tart lime flavor.

  1. Combine tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for about 30 seconds, or until well mixed and chilled.
  2. Dip the rim of a highball glass into lime juice and then salt, if desired. Fill with ice. Strain margarita into glass and garnish with a wedge/slice of lime. Serve immediately.

*To make simple syrup, stir together 8 ounces (1 cup) water with 7 ounces (1 cup) granulated sugar in a saucepan set over medium heat. Heat, stirring occasionally, just until the sugar has dissolved into the water. Store in a jar or other airtight container in the refrigerator. This will make enough for several drinks.
