I’m just gonna put this out there right away – this is not your typical milkshake. It’s not made with ice cream (although it is made with cream and milk, which are the building blocks of most ice cream), it’s blended with graham crackers, and it’s peach-flavored… not exactly anything crazy, but not necessarily the norm either. Seeing as I never usually make milkshakes and it’s the first one to make an appearance on the blog, it only figures that it’d be unconventional, just like the first waffles I shared here. If you’re going to do something you’ve never done before, might as well do it with flair, right? (We’ll pretend that’s my motive; the truth is that sometimes I just do things that happen to be a little bit off-the-wall.)
But enough about my slightly weird tendencies; let’s talk about this milkshake! It’s sweet and creamy like a milkshake should be, plus it makes for a simple way to use up a couple fresh peaches (although frozen would likely work as well). The peaches actually play a subtle role in the flavor – noticeable but light – since we’re mixing them with some graham crackers, brown sugar, and warm spices to give the whole thing a pie-like vibe. It’s definitley good on its own but even better topped with a big dollop of whipped cream to add to the velvety flavor and up the indulgence factor. Perfect summer dessert? I think yes!

Peach Pie Milkshake
A sweet, creamy treat made with fresh peaches and amped up with warm spices and graham crackers for a pie-like flavor.
- Yield: 4 (12 ounce) milkshakes 1x
- 1 lb 1/2 ounce (3 cups) pitted and chopped peaches*
- 3 3/4 ounces (1/2 cup packed) brown sugar
- 4 1/8 ounces (1/2 cup) heavy cream
- 5 5/8 ounces (2/3 cup) whole milk
- 4 sheets graham crackers**
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
- 16 ice cubes
- whipped cream, for garnish
- graham cracker crumbs, for garnish
- Combine all ingredients (except garnishes) in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into serving glasses, top with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs, and serve immediately.
*Frozen peaches would most likely be fine here too, but if you choose to use them, you may need to use less ice.
**Use gluten-free graham crackers to make these milkshakes gluten-free.
