Yesterday I decided to share a little bit about my thoughts on perfection – or more accurately – the impression of perfection that it’s so easy to get from others in this world full of insanely talented people. (← That bit is on Instagram if you want to read it.) Anyhow, one thing I mentioned is that I completely know the feeling of being worn out and exhausted at the end of the day, and I’d be lying if I said that the first thing I want to do is make dinner after a full day of working with food. My point? As much as I advocate getting in the kitchen, making your own food, and doing things the no-shortcuts way, life is NOT that perfect. Sometimes you just want to order a pizza, open a bottle of wine, and take the night off from responsibilities, so let’s do it!
Pizza Hut has a brand new “Flavor of Now” menu out that inspired the spinach & tomato pizza I shared the other day, but for those nights when making dinner just seems like way too much to deal with, you can order out and choose from a whole new list of premium ingredients, bold sauces, and crust flavors. The options are all incredibly tempting (which makes it so hard to decide!!), with choices like fresh spinach and classic meatballs for toppings, creamy garlic parmesan and barbecue for sauces, and buttery garlic or honey sriracha for crust flavors. We tried one out the other night and finally settled on a fun combo of sliced banana peppers, red onions, and pepperoni for the top, plus premium crushed tomato for a sauce and salted pretzel for the crust. The combo was perfect with all those exciting flavors added in, and all the new options definitely made the whole ordering-pizza experience feel a little more gourmet. I also loved the fact that Pizza Hut made it so quick and simple to create and order your pizza online in minutes — THAT’s what I call an easy dinner.
